Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Republic Period Porcelain Famille Rose Plaque Stand
Late 19th – early 20th Century late Qing or early Republic Period famille rose table screen plaque raised on finely reticulated carved rosewood stand.
Famille rose plaque depicts mountainous landscape overlooking water with immortal figures in foreground. Very well rendered enamel painting with smooth blended shading. Written inscription/signature at top. I can not read signature but probably done by an important Chinese artist!
Plaque measures 11.5″ wide x 17″ tall, overall 23″ tall x 13.5″ wide. Plaque and base are two separate pieces.
Plaque and rosewood stand are both in very fine condition with no cracks, no breaks and no chips. Inscription at top looks to have one character removed,
probably a correction done by the artist.
