CHINESE IMPERIAL YONGZHENG MARK PERIOD LEMON YELLOW GLAZE DISHES
a pair of extremely rare and important Chinese Imperial Yongzheng (1723-1735) mark & period lemon-yellow glazed porcelain dishes.
The dishes are superbly potted throughout with a unique design and form. The dishes have an absolutely brilliant and vibrant lemon-yellow glaze that I have read was the hardest of the monochrome glazes to kiln and a substantial achievement of the period. The dishes show minor glaze wear consistent with their early age.
The dishes measure 3 1/2 inches wide.
