very fine and rare c1640 Chinese Transitional period blue and white porcelain vase. The vase has a particularly beautiful period design with birds among foliage landscape. The blue color to this vase is beautiful and is of a particular vibrancy found within the period. The pictures do not really portray the beauty and rich depth of the blue color compared to when handled in person. The vase measures 6 1/2 inches tall, by 3 7/8 inches wide.
